About the role

n

Are you a reliable Welder/Fabricator who takes pride in safe, accurate and high-quality workmanship?

n

Kotzur is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our Production team at Walla Walla, just 30 minutes from Albury.

n

In this hands-on role, you will fabricate, weld and finish Kotzur manufactured products, including silos, structural components, gantries, walkways and support structures.

n

What you'll be doing

n

Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel to required quality, safety and production standards

n

Fabricate and assemble silo-related structures and components, including gantries, walkways and support structures

n

Read and interpret workshop drawings, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and welding symbols to complete work accurately

n

Operate, check and maintain welding machines, tools and equipment safely and efficiently, escalating issues when required

n

Inspect welds and completed work for accuracy, finish and compliance with specifications and industry standards

n

Follow WHS requirements, PPE expectations and protected work practices to minimise risk in welding and fabrication activities

n

Work productively with other welders, fabricators, engineers and support teams to meet production timelines

n





Contribute to workshop flexibility by completing miscellaneous tasks and reasonable overtime during busy periods

n

What we're looking for

n

Experience fabricating and welding structural steel

n

Experience reading and applying workshop drawings, technical drawings and welding symbols

n

Experience working safely in a workshop or production environment in accordance with WHS requirements

n

Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing on concrete for extended periods and working in standing, kneeling, squatting, bending and reaching positions

n

Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication, trade qualified boilermaker/welder, or progressing toward this qualification

n

Current licences, tickets or site requirements relevant to the work area, where required by Kotzur

n

WHS training, inductions and competency requirements relevant to welding, fabrication, workshop equipment and PPE use

n

Safety conscious and disciplined in following WHS requirements

n

Reliable, accountable and able to work autonomously to quality standards and timelines

n

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

n
