Christ the Priest (CtP) Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Minor maintenance and repairs to school buildings, fixtures and fittings and grounds.
- Receive and act upon maintenance requests.
- Coordinate regular and as‑needed maintenance repairs and checks.
- Regular inspections of grounds, plant & equipment.
- Provide advice and recommendations on projects relating to maintenance, renovations and improvements of the buildings.
- Maintain and carry out the school's maintenance schedule.
- Adhere to OHS requirements.
- Communicate maintenance issues and concerns with a member of the school leadership team.
- Assist with the setting up of school events.
- Maintenance of school grounds including, but not limited to garden beds, lawns, paths, trees, soft‑fall and sand.
- Other duties through consultation with the Principal.
Candidate Requirements
- Current Full Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Must have a valid Working with Children Check or be able to obtain one.
- Be proactive, well organised and able to work to a standard without direct supervision.
- A general knowledge of building repairs is essential.
