Mechanical Fitters - Premium Permanent Role | Rotating Roster

After several long-standing team members recently retired, we're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to step into genuine permanent positions with one of Australia's leading steel manufacturers.

n

This isn't a short-term opportunity. We're looking for Fitters who want to settle in, learn the plant and build a long-term career with the business.

The Opportunity

n

Join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a large-scale steel manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.

n

You'll be hands-on across preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy industrial equipment.

n

The Roster

n

4 Days On / 4 Days Off

n

- 2 x Day Shifts - 6:00am to 6:00pm
n
- 2 x Night Shifts - 6:00pm to 6:00am
n
- 4 days off
n
- Roster provided six months in advance
n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n




- Preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance
n
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs
n
- Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
n
- Installation, alignment and overhaul of mechanical components
n
- Supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime
n
- Working to high safety and maintenance standards
n

About You

n

n
- Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
n
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel, mining, industrial processing or similar
n
- Solid mechanical fault-finding skills
n
- Experience with heavy industrial plant and equipment
n
- Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
n
- Strong safety focus and a team-first attitude
n
- Able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
n
