Working within a 24/7 rotating roster, you'll play a key role in the safe operation of one of Australia's major fuel terminals while contributing to the delivery of essential fuel supplies across Victoria.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for safely operating terminal facilities across a 24/7 rotating roster while ensuring compliance with all Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements and company procedures.

n

You will contribute to all aspects of terminal operations including fuel receipt and storage, shipping activities, aviation fuel quality assurance, emergency response, maintenance coordination and contractor management.

n

From time to time,



you will also have the opportunity to step into the Shift Team Leader role, providing valuable leadership experience and supporting the continued operation of the terminal.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Safely operating the Hastings Terminal in accordance with company procedures and MHF legislation
n
- Receiving, storing, handling and loading petroleum and aviation fuel products
n
- Supporting pipeline, gantry and Crib Point Jetty operations
n
- Monitoring fuel quality and maintaining aviation fuel standards
n
- Completing operational inspections, testing and quality assurance activities
n
- Maintaining accurate stock movement and operational records
n
- Raising maintenance work requests and supporting planned maintenance activities
n
- Participating in emergency response activities
n
- Assisting with contractor coordination and shipping operations
n
- Completing Permit to Work documentation where authorised
n
- Conducting operational reporting, safety audits and shift handovers
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Acting in the Shift Team Leader role when required.
n

About You

n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- Experience within fuel terminals, petroleum,



oil & gas, aviation fuel, chemical processing, mining or heavy industrial operations
n
- Experience working within a 24/7 operational environment
n
- A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions
n
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
n
- Mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem solving
n
- A willingness to continue learning and developing your technical skills.
n

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

n

- Aviation fuel quality systems or JIG standards
n
- Permit to Work systems
n
- SCADA, SAAB or CMMS systems
n
- Emergency Response
n
- Pipeline or shipping operations
n
- Tank farm operations
n
- Leadership or relieving supervisory responsibilities.
