We are seeking an accomplished and compassionateIndividual Differences Teacher to join our Junior School.

n

Working closely with classroom teachers, the successfulcandidate will help identify and respond to students' individual learningneeds. They will plan and deliver appropriately differentiated learningexperiences, monitor student progress and work collaboratively with colleaguesand families to support positive learning and wellbeing outcomes.

This opportunity would suit a reflective andcollaborative educator who understands that students learn in different waysand at different rates. The successful candidate will combine strongpedagogical expertise with warmth, flexibility and a genuine commitment tohelping every child grow in confidence and capability.

Key Responsibilities

The Individual Differences Teacher inspires, challengesand supports Junior School students to achieve their personal best. They createa love of learning, provide exemplary and inclusive learning experiences, andplace students at the heart of their practice.

Planning and delivering high-quality,engaging and appropriately differentiated learning experiences

n





Supporting students with a range of learningstrengths, needs and ability levels

n

Catering effectively for the learning needsof EAL students in mainstream classrooms

n

Using assessment evidence to identify studentneeds, monitor progress and inform teaching and intervention

n

Contributing to individual learning plans,targeted programs and other appropriate student support strategies

n

Working collaboratively with classroomteachers to develop and implement inclusive curriculum initiatives

n

Maintaining high expectations for studentlearning, engagement, behaviour and achievement

n

Creating nurturing, orderly, respectful andinclusive learning environments

n

Providing timely and constructive feedback tostudents and keeping families appropriately informed of student progress

n

Building positive and productiverelationships with students, colleagues and families

n

Supporting students' academic, social andemotional development in ways consistent with the College's vision and values

n

Using learning technologies purposefully toenhance teaching and learning

n

Critically reflecting on professionalpractice and actively seeking opportunities for continued improvement

n

Participating positively in staff meetings,professional learning and team-oriented planning

n

Contributing enthusiastically to the broaderlife of the College, including co-curricular programs, camps, events andCollege functions

Successful Applicants Will

n

Hold current Victorian Institute of Teachingregistration

n





Hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalentrecognised teaching qualification

n

Have relevant teaching experience and astrong understanding of Junior School pedagogy

n

Demonstrate the capacity to recognise and response effectively to students' individual learning needs

n

Possess strong curriculum knowledge andexpertise in differentiated and inclusive teaching practice

n

Use evidence, assessment and feedbackeffectively to strengthen student outcomes

n

Demonstrate the ability to support EALstudents within mainstream learning environments

n

Be passionate about supporting the academic,social and personal development of children

n

Create positive, nurturing and inclusivelearning environments

n
