Australian owned Steel Staircase manufacturing small business situated in Carrum Downs. We have been manufacturing Steel Stairs & Balustrading for over 30 years. We build quality steel stairs and balustrading which includes a variety of styles from Single Stringer & Double Stringer, Cantilevered & Spiral Stairs (internal & external).

We do Domestic, Commercial, Industrial & General Fabrication and pride ourselves in our quality workmanship.

As our business is growing we require more experienced, skilled staff. We are looking for our new staff member to join our friendly team to have the following:

Qualifications & experience

n

Experience in using Machinery, Power Tools, Cutting & Drilling

n

Specific experience with angle grinders, band saws, and drill press machinery is required

n

Minimum 1-2 years of experience using machinery, power tools, cutting and drilling is required

n

Sanding & Spray Painting an advantage

n

Current drivers licence required (Manual licence an advantage)

n

Must be self motivated & willing to learn, physically fit & hardworking,



efficient, competent and able to work independently and in a team

n

Ability to perform heavy lifting of 20kg+ and meet the physically demanding requirements of this factory hand role

n

Must have excellent communication skills, be reliable & punctual and have a can do attitude

n

Welding Experience & Steel Fabrication an advantage

n

Valid red or White Card preferred but not essential

n

Forklift Licence preferred but not essential

n

Australian citizenship or permanent residency required for this position

n

Tasks & responsibilities

n

Cutting & Drilling Steel, Assisting with preparing & cleaning components for the stairs to be manufactured

n

Sanding and Spray Painting - Preparation Of Fabricated Stairs & Balustrading

n

Assisting Fabricators where required

n

Competent with all electrical tools & machinery

n

Ability to adhere to safe work practices

n

Ability to listen and take instruction and communicate clearly

n

Working in a timely an effective manner with quality and accuracy
