At Federal Hospitality, we operate some of Tasmania's most iconic hotels, resorts, venues and gaming operations including MACq 01 Hotel, The Henry Jones Art Hotel, Saffire Freycinet, Wrest Point Hotel & Casino, Country Club Tasmania and 12 local hotels across the Vantage Group.

As our Regulatory Affairs Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in helping the business navigate a complex and evolving regulatory environment while supporting sustainable growth, strong governance and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

n

As the leader of our Regulatory Affairs, Gaming Compliance and Liquor Compliance function, you'll be the trusted expert responsible for ensuring regulatory obligations are understood, embedded and managed effectively across the business.

You'll partner closely with operational leaders, legal advisers, compliance specialists and executive stakeholders while overseeing licensing, regulatory engagement, governance frameworks, assurance programs and strategic regulatory projects.

What You'll Be Doing

n

No two days will look the same. You'll lead a high-performing compliance function, build capability and accountability, and foster a practical, risk-based approach to compliance across the business.

n

You'll manage key relationships with regulators and industry stakeholders, oversee gaming and liquor licences, permits and approvals, and ensure regulatory obligations are understood and effectively governed.

You'll drive strong compliance frameworks, governance and regulatory change, while overseeing assurance, incidents and executive reporting. You'll also provide regulatory expertise across major projects and business initiatives,



helping teams navigate compliance risks and approvals while driving continuous improvement through smarter processes, reporting and automation.

About You

n

You're a confident and credible leader who can balance strong governance with commercial and operational realities.

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- Significant experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, governance, risk or assurance leadership roles
n
- Gaming Regulatory experience is strongly desirable
n
- Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, regulator engagement and compliance governance
n
- Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation
n
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage everyone from frontline teams to executives and regulators
n
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
n
- Strong judgement, resilience and a solutions-focused mindset
n

Experience within gaming, hospitality, liquor, wagering or another highly regulated industry will be highly regarded.
