Job Description

Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist within a leading mining and resources organisation.

n

You will provide advice and execute tasks in the development and monitoring of plans and schedules, to maximise the efficient delivery of the project objectives.

n

Position

n

Reporting to the team superintendent, your duties will include:

n

n
- Work with project managers to develop summary and detailed schedules for construction, maintenance and upgrade projects in Primavera P6
n
- Develop baseline schedules and monitor/analyse schedules against established baselines
n
- Develop schedule development plans, the basis of schedule and schedule assurance reviews
n
- Participate in project team meetings and provide guidance on schedule progress, critical path, trends and forecasts
n
- Provide look-ahead schedules identifying key milestones and priority activities
n
- Review and provide risk based constructive feedback on contractor schedules and reports
n
- Identify activities that are material and critical to the project and business unit and effectively communicate these to the project team
n
- Monitor critical path activities and provide updates and analysis including possible mitigation efforts to minimise impacts
n
- Develop planned progress curves,



forecast and analyse mid-month and monthly progress
n
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing the risks associated with the project schedule
n

Skills and Experience

n

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

n

n
- Ability to establish and maintain transparent lines of communication to enable a collective model of the planned activities represented in the project schedule
n
- Demonstrated list of achievements on past construction projects
n
- High level of proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Suite
n
- Strong understanding of project risks and how to demonstrate within the project schedule
n
- Critical thinking and problem solving skillsWork well under pressure and deadline focused
n
- Consistent with a high attention to detail
n
- Excellent communication skills, proactive, credible and influential
n

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to Adelaide based applicants with mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare Brisbane based, 6 month contract role with flexible work arrangements negotiable.
