Job Description

We're looking for a hands‐on CAD Systems Specialist to improve how CAD is used across a large engineering environment.

n

This is not a project drafting role.

n

The focus is onsystems, standards, automation, governance and continuous improvement.

n

You'll be expected to identify what can be improved, implement better ways of working and show the impact those changes have had across the business.

n

The Role

n

You'll take ownership of the CAD environment and work closely with technical teams, managers and IT.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Improve CAD standards, templates and workflows
n
- Maintain and develop the AutoCAD environment
n
- Identify and automate inefficient processes
n
- Develop CAD tools, libraries, menus and templates
n
- Support users with complex CAD issues
n
- Implement software upgrades and system improvements
n
- Support CAD governance across the business
n
- Explore AI and digital tools that improve technical workflows
n
- Train and mentor CAD users
n
- Work with stakeholders to drive adoption of new systems and processes
n

What We're Looking For:

You'll need strongAutoCADexperience and a solid understanding of CAD systems within an engineering or technical environment.

n

- Solid AutoCAD capability

- CAD systems or CAD management experience

- CAD standards and governance experience

- Engineering or multidisciplinary design experience
n
- Strong troubleshooting skills
n
- Process improvement and automation experience
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Experience supporting and mentoring technical users
n

Exposure to12D, GIS, Synergy, Autodesk platforms, digital engineering or AI toolswill be highly regarded.
