United Terminals Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Day Terminal Operator to join our Operations team at our Hastings Terminal.

n

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe receipt, storage, handling and distribution of fuel products while contributing to the ongoing success of one of Australia's leading terminal operations.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will work day shifts across a rotating roster (6:00am–2:00pm and 10:00am–6:00pm), undertaking a broad range of operational duties that ensure the safe and effective running of the Hastings Terminal.

n

You'll be involved in terminal operations, aviation fuel quality assurance, maintenance coordination, contractor management and emergency response activities while working within a collaborative and highly skilled operations team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Safely operating terminal facilities in accordance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements

n

Receiving, storing, handling and loading petroleum and aviation fuel products

n

Supporting pipeline, gantry and Crib Point Jetty operations

n

Monitoring product quality and maintaining accurate operational records

n

Conducting fuel sampling, testing and aviation quality assurance activities

n





Raising maintenance work requests and supporting planned maintenance activities

n

Issuing and managing Permit to Work documentation

n

Assisting with emergency response activities and site safety initiatives

n

Conducting contractor and visitor inductions

n

Participating in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives

n

Completing operational reporting, stock movements and shift documentation

n

Working collaboratively with maintenance teams, contractors and key stakeholders

n

Supporting shipping operations and Shore Officer duties when required.

About You

n

We're looking for someone who has:

n

Experience within fuel terminals, petroleum, aviation, chemical processing, oil & gas, mining or other industrial operations

n

A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance

n

Experience working within highly regulated operational environments

n

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

n

A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

n

Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping

n

The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

n

Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

n

Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

n

Aviation fuel operations or quality assurance

n

Permit to Work systems

n

SCADA, SAAB or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

n

Emergency Response

n

Pipeline or shipping operations.
