About the Role

This is a full time, ongoing, CBD based, hybrid, VPS 4.1 role, with a base salary range of $100,894 - $114,476 (plus 12% super).

This position reports directly to the Payroll Lead in HR Services,



part of the Strategic Corporate Services Team. As the Payroll Advisor, you will join a small, dynamic team providing expert advice and support on payroll and employee benefit matters, while collaborating to improve the overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities include the timely and precise processing of the end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with all legislative obligations such as Payroll Tax, Single Touch Payroll, and QuickSuper. Additionally, you will contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and participate in projects aimed at streamlining payroll processes.The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Extensive knowledge and experience with CHRIS 21 (mandatory).
- Exceptional attention to detail, a strong outcomes focus, and the ability to take accountability for results.
- Experience in high-volume payroll processing and effective time management.
- Comprehensive payroll expertise, including experience working within the Victorian Government framework.
- Excellence in customer service.

In this role, you will:

- Collaborate effectively within your immediate team and the broader Strategic Corporate Services team.




- Provide accurate interpretation of the VPS Enterprise Agreement.
- Process high-volume fortnightly payroll operations end-to-end.
- Handle payroll and HR-related queries promptly and professionally.
- Calculate long service leave (LSL) provisions accurately.
