Dana Australia supplies power conveyance and energy management solutions for the Commercial Vehicle, Aftermarket, Electrification and Light Vehicle markets.

The Role

n

As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Material Planner is responsible for overseeing activities associated with ensuring availability of components in line with production requirements and customer demand for a nominated list of Suppliers.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Timely creation and management of purchase orders based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) output or as required to ensure supply continuity
n
- Monitoring, follow up & updating of open purchase orders by liaising with suppliers to ensure on time delivery & resolving supply disruptions
n
- Coordinate with suppliers on critical part deliveries, ensuring that recovery plans are provided to mitigate supply risks
n
- Follow up and close out of any shipping discrepancies as notified by Warehouse
n
- Liaise with Freight Providers regarding collection,



shipping details and delivery of goods
n
- Maintain accurate records for Item Data within ERP system
n
- Monitor / Maintain inventory levels in accordance with policies and procedures
n
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
n

The successful candidate

n

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

n

n
- Bachelor or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
n
- Experience in material planning or inventory control within a manufacturing workplace
n
- Material Planning experience for 5+ years
n
- Working knowledge of SAP
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
n
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and suppliers
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- High attention to detail and reporting accuracy
