Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Specialist Breast Radiologist to join Tasmania's Population Screening and Cancer Prevention (PSCP) service in a permanent specialist position.

n

This is an outstanding prospect for a dedicated Breast Radiologist to become part of the development of a new contemporary Tasmanian Breast Cancer Centre, providing a comprehensive public breast imaging and diagnostic service for the Tasmanian community.

n

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified specialists currently located in Australia, New Zealand or Canada, with overseas applicants supported through the relevant registration and relocation processes.

The Opportunity

n

The successful Specialist Breast Radiologist will provide high‐quality breast imaging and diagnostic services while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

n

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of Tasmania's public breast imaging services, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, patient‐centred care, innovation and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include

n

- Providing specialist outpatient breast radiology services
n
- Delivering high‐quality diagnostic breast imaging and clinical care
n
- Performing and interpreting radiological examinations
n
- Providing expert radiological advice to medical colleagues
n
- Participating in multidisciplinary care and clinical decision‐making
n
- Contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives
n
- Participating in quality assurance and peer review
n
- Supporting continuous improvement in clinical services and patient outcomes
n
- Teaching and supervising undergraduate, postgraduate and trainee medical staff
n
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients and their families
n

This role would suit a Breast Radiologist who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to play an active role in service development, education and innovation.

The Tasmanian Breast Cancer Centre

n

The Tasmanian Breast Cancer Centre is a new contemporary facility being developed to create a comprehensive hub for public breast imaging in Tasmania.

- BreastScreen Tasmania's established screening and assessment services
n
- Diagnostic Breast Imaging services
n
- Support services for patients with, or at risk of, breast cancer
n

n

The new state‐of‐the‐art facility will expand public breast care capacity and improve access to screening and diagnostic breast imaging for patients throughout Tasmania.

n

As part of the Tasmanian Health Service, the Population Screening and Cancer Prevention service oversees the local delivery of BreastScreen Tasmania and the Diagnostic Breast Imaging service.

n

PSCP also manages and participates in three national cancer screening programs:

- BreastScreen Australia

- National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
n
- National Cervical Screening Program
n

PSCP also maintains an established and collaborative relationship with the Department of Medical Imaging at Royal Hobart Hospital, providing opportunities for cross‐service engagement.

About You We Are Seeking a Specialist Who Brings

n

- Specialist qualification in Radiology with recognised expertise in Breast Radiology
n
- Current Australian registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA
n
- Strong clinical expertise in breast diagnostic radiology
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
n
- Commitment to patient‐centred and compassionate care
n
- An interest in teaching, mentoring and professional development
n
- Commitment to clinical governance, quality and safety
n
- Interest in research, innovation and service improvement
