SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS TEACHER (SECONDARY)

The King David School in Armadale is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and passionate Science and Mathematics Teacher to join our Senior School team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to make a meaningful contribution to our school community. You will be responsible for designing and delivering an engaging, rigorous, and creative curriculum across Years 9 to 12, fostering deep learning, intellectual effort, and academic success.

This is a full-time ongoing position, commencing in Term 1 2027.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Robust knowledge of curriculum differentiation to cater to diverse student abilities and learning styles.
- A demonstrated desire and capability to integrate technology into teaching and actively engage students in the learning process.
- A proven track record of student success, engagement, and high standards.
- Teaching experience in VCE Mathematics, with experience in VCE Mathematical Methodsand/or VCE General Mathematics / Further Mathematics considered highly advantageous.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
- High professional standards in classroom management, thorough lesson planning, and timely, fair assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, document, and deliver high-quality courses of study, units of work, and lessons consistent with the Australian Curriculum (VCAA) and VCE guidelines.
- Prepare programs utilising a range of modalities, integrating technology to foster creative and deep learning.
- Set, mark, and provide targeted feedback, home learning,



and accurate continuous reporting comments in line with school guidelines.
- Maintain a productive, orderly, and well-managed classroom environment while working closely with Learning Area Leaders and Year Level Coordinators.
- Demonstrate duty of care, assist with student medical and wellbeing needs, and adhere strictly to Child Safe Standards.
- Contribute actively to campus life, including co-curricular programs, school festivals, commemorations, sports days, camps, and assemblies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is essential.
- Compliance with the VIT Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.
