Practice Manager | People, Operations & Practice Leadership

Dentessence is an established and growing dental practice that has been part of the Diamond Creek community since 2010. We have a strong patient base, an experienced clinical team and a practice that has continued to evolve over many years.

As our long-standing Practice Manager prepares to retire, we're looking for the right person to step into this important leadership role. You'll initially work part-time alongside our current Practice Manager, allowing for a supported handover and transition to full-time.

We're looking for someone who understands that great practice management sits at the intersection of people, patient experience, systems and business performance.

You'll work closely with the practice owners, but you'll also have the autonomy and trust to lead the team and manage the practice effectively.

The role

n

You'll take responsibility for the operational and people management of the practice, including:

n

- Managing a positive, professional and high-performing workplace culture
n
- Supporting an excellent patient experience from first contact through to ongoing care
n




- Working closely with our dentists and clinical team to help their days run efficiently
n
- Leading, supporting and holding the team accountable
n
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff development
n
- Managing rosters, workflows and day-to-day practice operations
n
- Maintaining strong systems, policies and compliance
n
- Monitoring practice performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
n
- Helping implement new ideas and improvements rather than allowing them to sit on a to-do list
n
- Working alongside the owners on the continued development of the practice

Who we're looking for

n

We're looking for someone who is confident enough to lead, organised enough to stay across the detail and practical enough to get things done.

n

Ideally you'll have previous experience managing a dental practice and understand the realities of leading a busy team.

n

What matters to us is that you're proactive, dependable, comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary, and genuinely take ownership of your role.

n

You should be someone who sees a problem and thinks, "How can we fix this?" rather than waiting for someone else to solve it.
