Position Summary:

n

We are seeking a full-time Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing a variety of surfaces, ensuring a professional and durable appearance on all projects. This role requires a high level of precision, craftsmanship, and commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, filling holes, and sealing cracks.
n
- Apply paint, varnish, sealants, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, buildings, and other structures.
n
- Ensure proper coverage, smooth finishes, and colour consistency across surfaces.
n
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as necessary to maintain visual and structural integrity.
n




- Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and ladders.
n
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent damage.
n
- Interpret work instructions, follow job specifications, and adhere to client requirements.
n
- Follow WHS guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
n
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients.
n
- Work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines and maintain schedule commitments.
n

Essential Skills and Experience:

n

n
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent Australian-recognised qualification).
n
- Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in residential and/or commercial painting.
n
- Proven experience with a variety of painting tools, techniques, and surface finishes.
n
- Sound knowledge of painting materials, colour matching, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship standards.
n
- Ability to read and interpret job plans and instructions.
n
- Solid time management and organisational skills.
n
- Capacity to work outdoors and indoors, in various conditions and heights.
n
- Ability to work autonomously or within a team structure.
n
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
n

Desirable Attributes:

n

n
- Current driver's licence and own transport.
n
- Experience working on larger-scale commercial sites or public sector projects.
n
- Working at Heights certification or White Card (Construction Induction Training).
n
