The role

This is a current business role first and foremost. You'll be on the road, building a national customer base from the ground up - direct to civil contractors, commercial builders, hire companies and distributors. You'll sell lighting towers primarily as capital equipment, with short-term hire available as a trial tool. Order values range from small accounts through to 10-20 unit volume purchases, and the Year 1 revenue target is $8M. You'll manage both direct and channel sales, deal with contacts from site level through to procurement and senior management, and stay across the full sales cycle from first contact to close. The role is based in Smithfield, NSW with regular interstate travel.

What they're looking for

They want a senior BDM who has sold machinery or equipment into construction, civil or energy markets. Someone that is comfortable opening doors, managing a pipeline and closing. You need to be happy travelling nationally, dealing with Tier 1 through to Tier 4 contractors, and working autonomously without much hand-holding.
