UHI Machinery is looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Assistant to join our Brisbane team in Rocklea.

n

This is a full-time role supporting our workshop and mechanical team with the preparation, assembly, inspection and maintenance of construction and agricultural machinery.

n

The role is ideal for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys hands‐on work and is looking to develop their skills and experience within the machinery industry.

n

Key responsibilities

n

- Assist mechanics with servicing, repairs and maintenance of machinery
n
- Assist with PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and preparation of new machines before customer delivery
n
- Assist with the assembly and installation of machinery, attachments and accessories
n
- Carry out basic mechanical and workshop tasks under the direction of experienced mechanics
n
- Assist with diagnosing and checking basic mechanical issues
n
- Help with loading, unloading and moving machinery around the workshop and yard
n
- Maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas
n
- Keep the workshop and yard clean, safe and organised
n
- Assist with general workshop duties as required
n

About you

n

n
- Previous experience in a workshop, mechanical, automotive, construction or machinery environment is preferred
n
- Mechanically minded with positive practical and hands‐on skills
n




- Experience with construction or agricultural machinery is an advantage
n
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics or mechanical systems is highly regarded
n
- Current Australian driver's licence preferred
n
- Forklift licence is an advantage
n
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands‐on environment
n
- Reliable, responsible and willing to learnAble to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic

$70,000 – $80,000 + super
