About the Role

As a result of continued growth in our project pipeline across a range of sectors, we are seeking a full-time Senior to Associate Environmental Consultant/Engineer with experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation, geochemistry and/or hydrogeology.

This role is for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of complex sites, understanding the problem, and helping clients move from investigation through to practical site-based solutions. Expertise in a relevant consulting body is critical, along with having undertaken the typical range of project work types and assessments within a consulting environment to a high technical level.

Project types will be broad and across many sectors, such as: Mining and Resources, Oil and Gas, Renewables and Energy, Aviation, Defence, Government, Construction, and Miscellaneous brownfield developments.

Lead and manage projects from start to finish in a collaborative manner

Develop practical, workable solutions to environmental risks and impacts

Interpret and apply environmental legislation and policy in technical reporting

Share knowledge and work on a diverse range of projects

Communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders

Undertake field work as required

To be successful, you will bring:

A degree in science (geology, chemistry, environmental science or similar) or engineering (environmental or chemical engineering)

8–15 years of relevant consultancy or industry experience

Solid communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills

Confidence interpreting and applying relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines

Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality

The willingness and ability to undertake field work

A current Australian driver's licence and ability to travel if required

Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a visa allowing full working rights for at least two years

Willingness to work towards chartered or certified status and a member of a related professional body
