Location: Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney
n Contract: 6 months to 14 August 2027, with an extension option of up to 3 months
n Pay: $120 to $140 p/h including super (negotiable)
n Work type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
n Work arrangement: Onsite - work from home is not permitted
n Clearance: Must hold a current NV2 clearance or above

About the Role

This is a specialist assurance role with our Federal Government client in a sensitive national security environment.
n You will test whether fraud and corruption controls are operating effectively. You will analyse evidence and data, work with relevant teams and specialists, and turn the results into clear findings and recommendations.

What You'll Be Doing

- Conduct fraud and corruption control testing
n
- Test whether identified controls are operating effectively
n
- Apply risk testing, assessment and management methods
n
- Assess operational, financial, strategic and compliance risks
n
- Analyse large data sets for patterns, trends and potential risks
n
- Gather evidence and responses from relevant teams
n
- Work with other specialists to solve testing and assurance issues
n
- Develop a findings paper covering scope, methods, evidence and conclusions
n
- Provide practical recommendations based on the testing results
n

EL1 Fraud Control / Corruption Prevention Officer - National Security

What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

- You've conducted fraud and corruption control testing in a Commonwealth context
n
- You've tested control effectiveness using structured risk or assurance methods
n
- You can analyse large data sets and identify meaningful patterns and risks
n
- You can gather evidence, challenge responses and form defensible conclusions
n
- You've written findings papers or assurance reports with clear recommendations
n
- You work effectively with control owners, specialists and senior stakeholders
n
- You're an Australian citizen
n
- You must hold a current NV2 clearance or above
n

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

- Experience with the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Control Framework 2024
n
- Experience testing controls after a fraud or corruption risk assessment

- Relevant professional certifications
n
- Experience in Defence, intelligence or another sensitive Commonwealth environment
