Liar Liar is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our growing kitchen team.

Liar Liar is a premium Japanese restaurant and late-night venue in Braeside, serving a modern menu built around sushi, sashimi, Japanese flavours, premium produce and charcoal-grilled dishes.

We're looking for a chef who is organised, reliable and passionate about producing consistently high-quality food in a busy kitchen.

CHEF DE PARTIE – LIAR LIAR

Braeside, Melbourne | Full-Time

THE ROLE

n

n
- Run and take ownership of your designated section
n
- Prepare and execute dishes consistently to Liar Liar standards
n
- Work across our Japanese hot kitchen and production sections
n
- Maintain excellent presentation, portioning and quality control
n
- Complete daily prep and service mise en place
n
- Work closely with senior chefs during busy services
n
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering and reducing wastage
n
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation
n
- Support junior chefs and kitchen staff when required
n
- Contribute ideas and assist with ongoing menu development
n

ABOUT YOU

n

n
- Can work in Larder section as well as Robata Grill
n




- Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef
n
- Is confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
n
- Has strong knife skills and attention to detail
n
- Takes pride in presentation and consistency
n
- Is organised and can manage their own section
n
- Works well under pressure
n
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
- Is reliable and wants to be part of a professional kitchen team
n

n

Experience with Japanese cuisine, sushi, seafood, charcoal cooking or modern Asian cuisine is highly regarded but not essential.
