An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Manager to join a growing global FMCG business based in Melbourne's western suburbs. Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a broad, hands‐on role with the chance to shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier relationships and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

About the role

You will take ownership of strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories, working closely with Operations, Quality and Finance.

- Develop sourcing strategies and lead tender processes
n
- Manage and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers
n
- Drive cost savings and commercial improvements
n
- Develop alternative suppliers to strengthen supply continuity
n
- Establish supplier KPIs and performance reviews
n
- Work across raw materials, ingredients, packaging, freight, energy and waste
n
- Balance strategic sourcing with hands‐on procurement activity

About you

n

You will be an experienced procurement skilled with a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiations within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience is highly desirable, with candidates from dairy, ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Proven experience delivering cost savings through sourcing and negotiation
n
- Strong supplier relationship and performance management experience
n
- Experience managing tenders and strategic sourcing initiatives
n
- An understanding of supplier qualification and quality requirements, with HACCP/GMP exposure highly regarded
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Quality, Finance and Technical teams
n
- A hands‐on and pragmatic approach, with the ability to operate autonomously in a lean environment
n
- The confidence to work across all levels of the organisation
