Launched in the Gold Coast in 2016, Balter has grown into one of Australia's most iconic award-winning craft beer brands — built on great beer, bold ideas and a genuine enjoyment for what we do. As Finance Manager you will provide fin ancial control, governance and operational finance leadership across Balter ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong business performance.

You will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the Balter business. Working closely with Finance, Supply, Production and broader Asahi stakeholders, you will lead month-end reporting, accounting operations, inventory and costing activities while driving strong financial controls and governance.

Combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight, you will support operational decision-making, improve finance processes and provide trusted financial stewardship that helps Balter achieve its growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Balter's month-end close, management reporting and balance sheet review processes.
n
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance across accounting operations and finance systems.
n
- Oversee inventory, costing and supply finance activities, supporting accurate stock and manufacturing outcomes.
n
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
n
- Support audits, statutory obligations, payroll oversight and the effective management of company assets.

- Identify and implement process, system and control improvements across the finance function.

About You

n

n
- Strong experience in Finance Manager (or equivalent) roles ideally within the beverages or FMCG sectors.
n
- CA/CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
n
- Proven experience in month-end close, financial and management reporting, balance sheet management, variance analysis, financial controls and compliance.
n
- Experience with the manufacturing value chain, inventory management, product costing, operational finance and ERP systems.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders across functions.
n
- Proactive, solutions-orientation, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and influence decision making,
n
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling capability, including experience with tools such as Power BI, SAP IBP, NetSuite and Excel.
