We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the team on a full time basis. This is a great opportunity to step into a Security role if you have worked in the IT industry for a couple of years. This role will suit somebody who has worked in a service desk or has been part of the technical team at a managed service provider. You must believe amazing customer service is a non-negotiable!

This is a highly technical role with 80% of your time being on the tools. This role is not suitable for individuals with no experience in IT engineering or support.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Assisting cybersecurity program assessments utilising recognised industry frameworks
n
- Scoping, planning and implementing uplift programmes within customer environments to support their cyber security goals
n
- Assisting customers with Security Incidents
n
- Deploying, managing and troubleshooting IT and IT Security related Controls and Applications.
n
- Assisting customers with the configuration of their security controls
n
- Assisting with Response and Recovery Plan, Playbook writing and review
n
- Assisting with evaluating cybersecurity risk profiles in relation to both technical conditions and business significance
n




- Analysing security risks, developing effective treatments
n
- Articulating risks and recommended treatments to business stakeholders
n
- Involvement in internal projects to help innovate security engineering
n
- Supporting Security Consulting and Penetration Testing teams where required
n

Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will be located in Melbourne and able to attend the office.

About you

n

n
- A good understanding of cyber security concepts
n
- Hands on technical experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure, predominately, but experience in AWS and Google Cloud would be advantageous
n
- Some hands on experience with tooling such as EDR and SIEM would be preferred
n
- Have a keen desire to learn and absorb new technologies including AI for automation and process improvement
n
- Have a risk-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
n
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
n
- Be able to work independently and within a team
n
- Have a proven ability to solve problems independently
