Our Learning Steps Childcare and Kindergarten – Patterson Lakes VIC

As a Part-Time Educator, you will play an important role in providing high-quality education and care for children aged 0–5 years. Working collaboratively with our team, you will support each child's learning, development, wellbeing and sense of belonging through meaningful relationships and engaging educational experiences.

Key responsibilities

- Providing a protected, supportive, inclusive and enriching learning environment for all children
n
- Creating and implementing age-appropriate educational experiences that support children's learning, development and individual interests
n
- Observing and documenting children's learning and progress to support their individual learning journeys
n
- Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- Promoting children's safety, wellbeing, participation and right to have their voices heard
n
- Following the Victorian Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and all relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
n
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and promptly responding to and reporting any concerns regarding a child's safety or wellbeing
n
- Actively participating in team meetings, reflective practice and professional development
n

About you

n

n




- Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent qualification
n
- Experience working in a childcare or early learning environment
n
- A sound understanding of child development and play-based learning
n
- A strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice
n
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
n
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications, or willingness to obtain these as required
n
