This role is responsible for responding to property damage incidents-with a focus on water damage mitigation-across diverse environments such as healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Mitigation & Restoration Operations

n

n
- Respond promptly to property damage events, conducting initial site inspections to determine the scope of water damage and contamination.
n
- Execute emergency mitigation procedures, including water extraction, structural drying equipment placement, containment setup, and selective removal of damaged materials.
n
- Apply industry-standard restoration techniques and safely handle specialized cleaning chemicals and equipment.
n
- Execute appropriate containment and treatment guidelines for invasive species, mold, or biohazard risks as required.

Documentation & Client Communication

n

n
- Complete accurate site assessments, work logs, and task documentation for internal management and compliance review.
n
- Maintain open communication with team leads, operations supervisors, and clients regarding project timelines and job status.

- Serve as a professional, client-focused representative on-site during critical emergency restoration events.
n

WHS Compliance & Emergency Response

n

n
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, standard operating procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
n
- Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency call-out schedule to provide rapid response for urgent client needs.
n
- Ensure all restoration equipment, tools, and service vehicles are maintained in clean, fully operational condition.

Qualifications & Experience

n

Technical Requirements & Certifications

n

n
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in water damage restoration, structural drying, or technical facility cleaning.
n
- Relevant industry qualifications‐such as IICRC certification (Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, or Fire & Smoke)-are highly advantageous.
n
- Practical knowledge of water extraction machinery, dehumidifications setups, and environmental containment procedures.
n

- Physical Fitness: Capability to handle demanding physical tasks, including heavy lifting, equipment transport, and working in varied environmental conditions.

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for accurate job logging and clear client interactions.

- Work Ethic: High reliability, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stress emergency situations.
n
- Licensing: Valid driver's license and full rights to work in Australia.
