What we are looking for

n

We are not simply looking for someone to load and unload a CNC machine. We are looking for a machinist who can think through the manufacturing & design process, set the machine up, produce the component and verify that it meets the required specification.

n

About You & Essential for this Role

n

n
- MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, preferably Machining/Fitting-Machining, or equivalent recognised trade qualification
n
- 2+ years' CNC machining experience
n
- CNC machine setup experience
n
- CNC milling and/or turning experience
n
- SolidWorks competency
n
- Fusion 360 competency
n
- Manual lathe competency
n
- Vertical mill competency
n
- Ability to read engineering drawings
n
- Ability to work to tight dimensional tolerances
n
- Competent with precision measuring equipment
n
- Understanding of tooling, feeds,



speeds and machining processes
n
- Ability to work independently
n
- Strong attention to detail
n

n

Highly desirable

n

- Experience with both CNC milling and CNC turning
n
- Fusion 360 CAM experience
n
- Experience machining aluminium and stainless steel
n
- Motorsport/automotive/performance industry experience
n
- Experience with low-volume/high-mix production
n
- Experience manufacturing components from 3D CAD models
n
- Experience with GD&T;
n
- Experience with CMM or other advanced inspection equipment
n
- Experience with probing/tool setters
n
- Experience designing/producing jigs and fixtures
n

- Experience with 4th-axis machining

- Experience with live tooling/Y-axis turning
