Implicit Interior Management Group (IIMG) is a new, family-owned and operated end-to-end construction company specialising in high-end, one-off custom joinery. We manage the complete process, giving our team the opportunity to see unique projects progress from production drawings and material selection through workshop manufacture, assembly and final site installation.

Our core team currently consists of the Director, a Project Manager and our site teams. We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker to become a key foundation member of the business in a predominantly workshop-based position at our Moorabbin facility.

This is more than a standard assembly role. You will have the autonomy to help shape the workshop, take ownership of its day-to-day operation and make the position your own as IIMG grows. You will report directly to the Director and/or Project Manager and liaise closely with our site teams to keep jobs moving smoothly from production through installationThe role

The role

- Operating CNC machinery, panel saws and edgebanders safely and accurately
- Reading production drawings and preparing jobs for manufacture
- Coordinating workflow, materials and job priorities through the workshop
- Understanding and selecting appropriate cabinetmaking boards, veneers, laminates, hardware and other materials
- Manufacturing, assembling and quality-checking high-end custom cabinetry and joinery
- Identifying production issues early and working with the team to resolve them
- Assisting with site measuring, installation and final adjustments when required
- Helping maintain an organised, safe and efficient workshop




- Communicating with designers, project staff and installers to support smooth end-to-end delivery
- Liaising directly with site teams regarding measurements, sequencing, installation requirements and project progress
- Occasionally assisting with commercial window installations delivered in partnership with a related supplier
- Undertaking occasional short interstate trips, generally limited to one or two days, where required

About you

- Solid cabinetmaking or architectural joinery experience
- Experience operating CNC machinery, panel saws and edgebanders
- Strong knowledge of cabinetmaking materials, hardware and construction methods
- The ability to interpret plans and production drawings accurately
- Experience assembling detailed, high-quality custom joinery
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to coordinate multiple jobs and priorities
- A careful approach to quality, measurements and finishing details
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a growing team
- An understanding of both workshop production and onsite installation
- Your own basic cabinetmaking hand tools
- A current construction induction card (White Card)

Highly regarded, but not essential

- A forklift licence or practical forklift experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microvellum,



Cabinet Vision or Mozaik production-drawing software
- Site-measuring experience
- A light rigid (LR) or medium rigid (MR) truck licence
- Willingness to undertake occasional short interstate travel
- Work on compelling, high-end custom projects rather than repetitive volume production
- Contribute across the complete joinery process, from drawings to installation

Benefits and Working Conditions

- Competitive salary based on the experience and capability you bring
- Normal working hours of 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with reasonable flexibility for genuine family commitments
- A salaried position with the autonomy to manage your own workload; work outside ordinary hours would only arise occasionally when genuinely required
- A normal five-day working week with no rostered day-off arrangement
- Access to a company vehicle when site attendance is required
- A separate tool allowance may be negotiated with the successful applicant
