n An prospect is available for an experienced Tyre Fitter to join an established open cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin on a permanent full time basis.
n The role involves tyre fitting, changeouts and maintenance across the mobile fleet, working as part of the site maintenance team.

- Permanent full time position with staff conditions

- BIBO or DIDO Townsville or Mackay
n
- Camp accommodation, meals and site transport provided

Responsibilities

n

n
- Tyre and rim changeouts on haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders and light vehicles
n
- Fitting, removal and repair of OTR tyres in the field and in the workshop
n
- Operation of tyre handlers and associated equipment
n
- Pressure checks, inflations and routine tyre inspections
n
- Rim and wheel component inspection, servicing and assembly




n
- Tyre condition monitoring, wear reporting and record keeping
n
- Assisting with fleet servicing tasks as required
n
- Compliance with site isolation, tagging and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulation
n

Requirements

n

n
- Demonstrated OTR tyre fitting experience on a mine site
n
- Tyre Handler operation experience
n
- Current C class driver's licence
n
- Coal Board Medical, current or willing to obtain
n
- Standard 11 Generic Induction, current or willing to obtain
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
n

Desirable

n

n
- Certificate III in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
n
- HR or HC licence
n
- Experience with 777, 785 or larger haul truck classes
n
- Working at Heights, Confined Space or EWP tickets
n
- Forklift and plant operating tickets
n
- Trade assistant or HD Fitter support experience
n
