We are a modern shipping container cafe serving a busy clientele of construction workers. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and well-presented Cafe All Rounder to join our fast-paced team in Tullamarine.

This is a hands-on role for someone with cooking or food preparation experience who is happy to assist our Chef, support the Barista and help with all aspects of running a busy cafe.

This is a hands-on role for someone with cooking or food preparation experience who is happy to assist our Chef, support the Barista and help with all aspects of running a busy cafe.

What you'll be doing:

n

- Assisting the Chef with food preparation and cooking
n
- Preparing breakfast and lunch items
n
- Assisting the Barista during busy periods
n
- Taking customer orders and confidently operating the POS system
n
- Serving customers and providing friendly, effective service
n
- Restocking fridges, food and cafe supplies
n
- Maintaining clean and organised work areas
n
- Washing dishes and assisting with general cleaning duties
n
- Assisting with stock deliveries and general cafe tasks
n
- Working as part of a small team to ensure the cafe runs smoothly
n

What we're looking for:

- Previous cooking, food preparation or food service experience is required
n
- Experience working in a fast-paced cafe or food environment
n
- Friendly personality with excellent customer service skills
n
- Well presented, professional and approachable
n
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
n
- Able to work efficiently under pressure
n
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
n
- Willing to assist wherever needed - everyone plays a part in keeping the cafe running
n
- Barista and coffee skills are advantageous but not essential
n
- Must be able to start early, with shifts commencing from approximately 5:30am
n
- Own reliable transport preferred
n
- Australian working rights required
n

- Monday-Friday approximately 5:30am-2:00pm
n
- Saturday approximately 5:30am-12:30pm, where required

- Closed on Construction RDOs, Sundays and shutdown weekends
