Wasteflex is seeking a waste industry professional to join our Operations team as a Specialist - Waste Sourcing

This role is responsible for developing and managing Wasteflex's subcontractor network, sourcing specialised waste solutions, negotiating competitive rates and supporting the delivery of specialised waste services and projects.

n

Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, operational teams and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in identifying solutions for customer requirements and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and specialist service providers across Australia.
n
- Source and onboard new contractors across a broad range of waste streams and service types.
n
- Source solutions for specialised and non-standard waste requirements.
n
- Support services including hazardous waste, liquid waste, product destruction and industrial services.
n
- Obtain quotations, coordinate contractor responses and manage service delivery expectations.
n
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify new supplier opportunities.
n
- Assist with supplier onboarding, contractor compliance and performance management.
n
- Support specialist projects and unique customer requirements as they arise.

What We're Looking For

- Waste industry experience is essential.
n
- Experience building and maintaining strong contractor,



supplier or subcontractor relationships.
n
- Strong understanding of waste service delivery and operational timeframes.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
n
- Ability to source practical solutions for complex waste requirements.
n
- Experience using CRM, operational or case management systems.
n

- Experience with hazardous waste, liquid waste, industrial services or product destruction.

- Existing relationships within the waste industry contractor network.

- Experience with case management and contractor management systems.
