We are growing and looking for a motivated Systems Engineer Level 1 / Level 2 to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting clients, working with modern technologies, and developing their career in a fast-moving MSP environment.

About the Role

n

As a Systems Engineer at ParagonIT, you will provide technical support, troubleshooting, implementation assistance, and ongoing managed services support across a wide range of client environments.

n

You will work closely with senior engineers, project teams, vendors, and clients to deliver reliable, professional, and responsive IT services.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to business clients.

n

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, servers, networks, cloud platforms, and business applications.

n

Support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, and Azure environments.

n

Assist with user onboarding, offboarding, device setup, and access management.

n

Monitor client systems, alerts, backups, security tools, and infrastructure health.

n

Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and print services.

n

Assist with endpoint security, patching, antivirus, MFA, conditional access, and basic cybersecurity controls.

n





Support networking equipment including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and internet services.

n

Document tickets, technical changes, procedures, and client environments accurately.

n

Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining ownership and communication with clients.

n

Participate in small projects, migrations, upgrades, and implementation work.

n

Skills and Experience

n

We are looking for someone with experience in some or all of the following:

n

Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.

n

Microsoft 365 administration.

n

Active Directory, EntraID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.

n

Basic networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‐Fi, and firewall concepts.

n

Backup and disaster recovery tools.

n

Endpoint management and security tools.

n

Remote monitoring and management platforms.

n

Ticketing systems and ITIL-style service desk processes.

n

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

A customer-focused attitude and professional presentation.

n

Preferred Experience

n

Experience working for a Managed Services Provider is highly regarded.

n

Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Azure, Defender, Sentinel, or other security platforms.





n

Experience with firewalls, switches, wireless, and business‐grade networking.

n

Knowledge of Essential Eight, cybersecurity best practices, or compliance frameworks.

n

Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, Aruba, SentinelOne, Acronic, Hyper‐V, or Veeam certifications would be advantageous.
