Workforce is currently seeking experienced Machine Operators to join a well-established steel manufacturing business in Laverton North.

n

Our client is a global leader in engineered construction solutions, manufacturing high-quality steel and reinforcement products used across the building and construction industry. This is a genuine steel production role, working with steel reinforcing bar and heavy manufacturing equipment in a busy industrial environment.

We are looking for people who are mechanically minded, safety-focused and comfortable working around heavy steel products and machinery.

Machine Operator - Steel Production | Laverton North

About the Role

n

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used in the production and processing of steel reinforcing products.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Operating steel production and processing machinery
n
- Operating machinery used to process and form steel reinforcing bar
n
- Monitoring machinery and production processes
n
- Loading and positioning steel products and materials
n
- Using overhead cranes to safely move steel products and materials
n
- Completing quality checks throughout the production process
n
- Setting and adjusting machinery as required
n
- Following production requirements and maintaining output standards
n
- Identifying and reporting any issues with machinery or production
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n
- Following all site safety procedures and production requirements
n




- Working as part of a close-knit production team
n

About You

n

We are looking for candidates who have:

n

n
- Previous experience in steel manufacturing, steel production or machine operation
n
- Experience operating production machinery in a heavy industrial environment
n
- Experience working with steel reinforcing bar or similar steel products is highly regarded
n
- Experience operating an overhead crane is highly regarded
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
n
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and steel products
n
- Good attention to detail and quality
n
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
n
- Ability to follow instructions and production procedures
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n

Previous steel industry experience is highly regarded.

n

This is a hands‐on production position and would suit someone who enjoys working with machinery, steel and manufacturing equipment rather than a traditional warehouse environment.
