Bring your procurement expertise and technical know-how to a role sourcing retail fixtures, racking, joinery, building materials and components from local and international suppliers.

Retail Fixtures Australia, part of parent company Associated Projects, is seeking a Procurement Manager with strong commercial judgement, excellent communication skills and a practical understanding of how our products are designed and manufactured. You will manage procurement across Australia and overseas, including China and Vietnam, with occasional sourcing from other countries.

About the role

n

You will take ownership of supplier relationships and procurement, balancing quality, cost and delivery requirements. Working with our team and suppliers, you will translate technical requirements into clear specifications, negotiate competitive terms and ensure suppliers understand what is required.

Working closely with the Product Development Manager, you will remain actively involved throughout manufacturing and through to project completion, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure technical requirements, quality standards and delivery commitments are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Managing local and overseas procurement of retail fixtures, racking, joinery, building materials and components.
n
- Identifying, assessing and developing suppliers to strengthen our supply options.
n
- Negotiating pricing, payment terms, lead times and supplier contracts.
n
- Benchmarking supplier pricing, quality and capability to ensure competitive value.
n
- Reading, interpreting and marking up technical drawings, and preparing drawings to communicate requirements.
n
- Clarifying materials, dimensions, finishes and manufacturing details with suppliers.
n




- Coordinating procurement schedules and proactively resolving quality, supply and delivery issues.
n
- Communicating clearly with internal teams and suppliers to keep projects moving.
n

About you

n

You are commercially astute, technically capable and confident working with suppliers across different countries and cultures. You ask the right questions, pay close attention to detail and communicate requirements clearly.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Proven procurement experience, including responsibility for local and overseas suppliers.
n
- Experience in retail fixtures, racking and joinery, or a closely related manufacturing environment.
n
- An understanding of sourcing building materials and components for project delivery.
n
- High technical aptitude, with a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and technical specifications relevant to our industry.
n
- The ability to read, prepare and mark up drawings to explain requirements and resolve technical queries.
n
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, supplier contracts and benchmarking.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively and work through technical issues.
n
- Robust organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n

Desirable, but not essential

n

- Chinese language proficiency to support communication with suppliers.
n
- Drawing or modelling skills in SolidWorks, SketchUp or Revit.
n
- Experience procuring from China and Vietnam.
n
