We are seeking a Junior Accountant / Assistant Accountant with an accounting background and some administration experience to join our accounting practice in Greenslopes. The successful candidate will have day-to-day accounting and tax-related responsibilities and provide administration assistance when required. This role is offered as a part-time or fulltime position, for the candidate.

Key responsibilities

n

- Bookkeeping, journals and reconciliations
n
- Preparation of Tax Compliance for all entity types including Tax Returns, Financial Statements, IAS's BAS's, CGT, Div 7A and FBT calculations
n
- Processing pays via STP and processing superannuation guaranteesPreparing Individual Tax Returns
n
- BAS/IAS preparation
n
- ATO processes and correspondence
n
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with general client enquiries including booking client appointments
n
- Making outgoing calls and following up with clients when required
n
- Responding to client emails
n
- Preparing,



collating and filing client documents
n

About you

n

n
- Has an accounting background or accounting qualification
n
- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero and MYOB
n
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
n
- Confident and professional English communication skills
n
- Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone and face-to-face
n
- Can confidently handle both incoming and outgoing calls
n
- Organised, reliable and attentive to detail
n
- Can work independently and manage multiple priorities
n
- Skilled and client-focused attitude
n
- On-the-job training
n
- Practical experience in an Australian public practice
n
- Work with a diverse range of clients and industries
n
