We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team and work closely with the General Manager to drive strong venue operations, develop high‐performing teams, and support the delivery of a safe, effective and well‐run hospitality environment.

This role suits a hands‐on leader who thrives in a fast‐paced venue, leads from the front, and is committed to building capability, strengthening service standards, and ensuring our gaming and bar operations run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

n

As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in coaching and developing staff, overseeing daily venue operations, and ensuring our gaming, bar and bistro areas operate to a consistently high standard. You will maintain compliance, uphold presentation standards, and support the management team in driving labour efficiency, service consistency and operational performance.

n

You will also contribute to venue KPIs, support rostering and shift management, and help build a positive, accountable team culture.

n

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop staff to build capability, confidence and strong service behaviours
n
- Oversee daily venue operations across gaming, bar and bistro
n
- Maintain high standards of presentation, ambience and cleanliness
n
- Ensure compliance with liquor, gaming and venue regulatory requirements
n
- Support gaming performance through strong floor presence,



guest engagement and adherence to procedures
n
- Monitor labour costs, support roster planning and drive operational efficiencies
n
- Manage stock control, GP targets and wastage reduction
n
- Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to the management team
n
- Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers and internal stakeholders
n
- Support the leadership team in maintaining a secure, well‐run and high‐performing venue
n

About You

n

You will succeed in this role if you have:

- Previous hospitality management experience in a pub, hotel or large venue
n
- Strong leadership capability with a focus on coaching and developing people
n
- Solid understanding of gaming operations and compliance
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi‐task
n
- Experience managing KPIs, labour and financial performance
n
- A calm, professional approach under pressure
n
- Current RSA and RCG certifications
n
