Our client is an ASX listed organisation with a significant presence across Australia, based in Brisbane CBD. They are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, reporting directly to the Payroll Manager.

The Role

n

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely end-to-end payroll across a complex workforce. This is a hands-on opportunity suited to an experienced payroll professional who can confidently manage high-volume payroll processing while ensuring compliance and accuracy across all aspects of the payroll function.

You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and employees to ensure payroll is processed efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation, awards and employment conditions.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Process end-to-end payroll across a large and complex workforce
n
- Manage timesheets, allowances, leave, overtime, deductions, commencements and terminations
n
- Interpret and apply relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts
n
- Calculate and reconcile superannuation contributions in line with ATO requirements
n
- Process and reconcile PAYG, salary sacrifice, WorkCover and child support obligations
n
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance requirements
n
- Assist with STP reporting, end-of-year payroll requirements and other payroll reporting
n
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure strong compliance and governance
n




- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries in a timely manner
n
- Support continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems
n

About You

n

n
- Demonstrated experience processing end-to-end payroll within a medium to large or complex organisation
n
- Strong understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, allowances, overtime, leave, salary packaging, superannuation and termination payments
n
- Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and Single Touch Payroll requirements
n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
n
- Proficient across payroll and ERP systems
n
