About the role:

n

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our client's multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, person-centred speech pathology services to participants across a range of ages, conditions and support needs.

n

The role will involve conducting assessments, developing individualised treatment plans and providing practical strategies to improve participants' communication, swallowing and overall participation in daily life.

n

Depending on location and client requirements, services may be delivered in person and/or via telehealth.

n

Key responsibilites:

- Conduct in-person assessments to identify participants' abilities, needs and challenges.
n
- Develop individualised treatment strategies and intervention plans.
n




- Develop and implement mealtime management plans where required.
n
- Provide participants with practical exercises, strategies and education to support their daily communication and swallowing needs.
n
- Provide advice regarding assistive and technical equipment that may support participants.
n
- Liaise with other treating professionals and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding participant progress and outcomes.
n
- Provide education, instruction and supervision to participants, support workers, family members and carers.
n
- Identify opportunities for cross-disciplinary services that may benefit participants.
n
- Maintain accurate participant health records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and standards.
n
- Contribute to innovative program planning, implementation and evaluation.
n

About you:

n

n
- Degree qualification in Speech Pathology.
n
- Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with Speech Pathology Australia.
n
- Demonstrated experience providing speech pathology assessments and interventions.
n
- Ability to work with people of different ages and with a range of acute, chronic, complex and multiple conditions.
n
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
n
- Excellent ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with participants.
n
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate innovative programs and treatment strategies.
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
n
- Commitment to completing 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) per membership year.
n
- Current driver's licence and passport.
n
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC).
n
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Program and Supporting People to Stay Infection Free module.
n
