Job Description

Simbuilt is looking for a Contract Administrator with a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction to join our team, working closely with our Project Managers and support team. This is an office-based role.

Key responsibilities

- Manage contract administration and project delivery processes end-to-end
n
- Prepare trade packages; assess quotes and prepare recommendations
n
- Chair subcontractor and client meetings and prepare minutes
n
- Review and authorise subcontractor/supplier invoices for timely payment
n
- Review head contract and subcontract conditions and award trade contracts
n
- Prepare, review, and submit variations; develop detailed subcontractor scopes
n
- Maintain a strong grasp of project financials — project budget, cash flow, liquidity, debtors, and receivables
n
- Ensure compliance with project safety, quality, and OHS&E; obligations
n

About you

n

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator in commercial construction
n
- Previous experience in a Contract Administrator role within the construction industry
n
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and project delivery
n
- Sound commercial and financial understanding of construction projects
n
- Excellent attention to detail,



organisational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills

- High competency with Microsoft Office and relevant construction software
n
- A proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine "can-do" attitude
n
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
n
- A commitment to workplace health, safety, environment and quality, and a team-oriented approach with the confidence to demonstrate leadership when required
