About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide complex in-home support to participants based in Queensland.

n

This role offers a consistent daytime schedule, providing stability for both the participant and the support worker. The position involves working in a family-home environment and supporting participants with high physical and clinical support needs.

n

This role is best suited to a calm, reliable, and confident support worker with strong clinical experience and a client-centred approach.

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Minimum Certificate III or IV / Diploma in Disability or other relevant qualification
n




- At least 3 years' experience in a disability support role
n
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- NDIS Orientation Certificate
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Current Police Check
n
- Driver's Licence and reliable car with insurance
n

Tasks & Responsibilities

n

n
- Personal care, including showering and hygiene support
n
- Medication support
n
- PEG feeding and meal assistance (very soft/moist foods)
n
- Oral and nasal suctioning (experience required)
n
- Mobility assistance with strong awareness of falls risk
n
- Domestic tasks and meal preparation
n
- Community access and transport
n
- Companionship and emotional support
n
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
n
- Commitment to providing a client-focused, consistent, coordinated, and flexible service
n
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges associated with living with disability across different life stages
