Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a large corporate finance team, supporting month-end close, statutory and shareholder reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and external audit activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete month-end accounting including journals, intercompany eliminations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare statutory financial statements and support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Assist with IFRS financial statements, accounting papers and technical accounting matters
- Prepare audit working papers and support the external audit process
- Assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and tax effect workings
- Support accounting policy updates, system improvements and process efficiencies
- Contribute to broader finance and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements

- 3+ years' accounting or finance experience within a medium to large corporate environment
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting,



Commerce or similar
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
- Knowledge of Australian and International Accounting Standards
- Robust financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with an ERP accounting system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines

Highly Regarded

- SAP FI experience
- Technical accounting exposure
- Experience supporting statutory reporting and external audits
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior finance team members
- 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
- Join an established finance function within a large corporate environment
- Broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, audit and improvement initiatives
