Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Trainee Materials Officer based in Warwick, QLD.
n This is a 6-month contract (with extension potential), with an immediate start.

About the role:
n
n
- Perform materials testing under supervision - soil, aggregate, concrete, bitumen and asphalt
n
- Assist with data analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround
n
- Travel with experienced staff on regional field investigations and site sampling
n
- Work both indoor and outdoor, including physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 25kg, shovelling, uneven terrain)
n
- Occasional isolated locations with limited mobile coverage for up to 5 days - all travel costs covered
n
n
Preferred Requirements:
n
n
- Current Class C driver's licence
n
- Physically able to perform manual handling, lifting and extended standing/walking
n
- Sound numeracy and basic computer skills
n
- Comfortable with regional travel and time away from home base
n
n
Preferred Qualifications:
n
n
- No formal qualifications required - training provided
n
- Prior lab, trades, civil or construction exposure highly regarded but not essential
