Job Summary / Overview

n

An prospect for an Accountant to support the financial management and reporting activities of a diverse operational environment. Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will contribute across monthly accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, business planning and operational reporting.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with monthly accounts through to Trial Balance including journal adjustments and validation reporting
n
- Monitor, analyse and report on financial performance
n
- Contribute to the preparation, monitoring and review of business and financial plans
n
- Provide advice to managers and staff on day-to-day financial and business management matters
n
- Liaise with Finance to support timely and accurate financial reporting
n
- Review monthly reports and undertake quality control and financial analysis
n
- Contribute to analysis of working arrangements with external government stakeholders
n
- Undertake procurement and accounts payable activities
n
- Support administration staff across procurement activities and business reporting
n

Required Qualifications

n





n
- Relevant university qualification or equivalent experience
n
- Considerable experience in financial management, budgeting and business plan preparation
n
- Experience compiling and interrogating financial information, analysing data and preparing written reports
n
- Experience across finance and administrative practices, procurement and supply processes
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory WA National Police Certificate
n

Working Conditions

n

The position is based in Bunbury. Travel to regional offices within southwest WA including overnight travel may be required.
