About the role

n

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead production activities in accordance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements as well as achieving production targets, coordinating resources and continually improving plant performance.

What you'll do

n

n
- Lead and supervise daily production activities and staff.
n
- Plan staffing, resources and production activities to meet operational targets.
n
- Ensure compliance with QMS, food safety and GMP requirements.
n
- Prepare batch documentation and summarise production data for traceability.
n
- Monitor production performance, process yields, materials and plant issues.
n
- Develop employees, coordinate shift handovers and prepare operational reports.
n
- Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with OHS requirements.
n

The successful applicant must also be able to provide support outside regular hours and on weekends when operationally required.

What you bring

n

n
- At least three years' experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
n
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating production staff.
n
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety and quality systems.
n
- Effective planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
n
- Explicit written and verbal communication and reporting capabilities.
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
n
