About the role
The SMSF Accountant will manage SMSF client relationships, review financial statements and tax returns, and provide compliance oversight. This role is designed for a candidate who seeks to engage in strategic SMSF matters rather than traditional processing tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Manage SMSF client relationships
- Review SMSF financial statements and tax returns
- Liaise with offshore SMSF resources
- Manage client queries and coordinate information gathering
- Liaise with auditors and manage audit queries
- Assist with pension matters and contribution strategy discussions
- Review compliance issues and support Partners on technical SMSF matters
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in SMSF accounting with 3-8 years in public practice
- Strong communication skills and client-facing capability
- Ability to manage work independently and a positive attitude towards learning.
