Job Description

R.A. Bell is seeking an experienced Storeperson / Inventory Controller to join our team and support the day-to-day operation of our stores and production inventory. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands that good inventory management is more than simply picking and putting away parts. You will help maintain accurate stock records, ensure materials are available and correctly allocated to production, and support the movement of components through our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

n

Receiving and checking incoming goods against purchase orders

n

Accurate receipting and stock movements within the inventory system

n

Picking, staging and issuing components for production and assembly

n

Managing stock allocations and ensuring parts are available for scheduled builds

n

Maintaining accurate inventory quantities and locations

n

Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies

n

Processing returned and unused components from production

n

Conducting stock counts and cycle counts

n

Maintaining organised warehouse and staging areas

n

Assisting with assembly/BOM-related inventory transactions

n

Working closely with Purchasing, Production and other departments to resolve material requirements

n

Supporting continuous improvement of stores and inventory processes

n

General warehouse duties including forklift operation, picking, packing and dispatch as required

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is organised,



reliable and takes ownership of inventory accuracy.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

Previous experience in a stores, warehousing or inventory control role

n

Experience working within a manufacturing or production setting

n

Strong understanding of stock control and inventory movements

n

Experience using an inventory, ERP or warehouse management system

n

Good computer skills and attention to detail

n

Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply process transactions

n

Good communication skills and the ability to work with Stores, Purchasing and Production teams

n

A practical, hands‐on approach and willingness to assist across warehouse operations

n

Experience with Unleashed Inventory Management would be highly regarded but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

The right person will understand the importance of maintaining accurate inventory in a manufacturing environment. You'll be comfortable working on the warehouse floor while also using inventory systems and following processes to ensure the physical stock and system stock remain aligned.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their area, identify problems and help improve the way materials move from receipt through to production.
