Norman Carriers, a leading transport and warehousing business based in Laverton North VIC, is currently seeking skilled drivers to join our dedicated day team.

n

As a key member of our team, you will bring your expertise in operating Sideloader vehicles in and around Victoria. An MSIC with port access is a must-have for this role, while a Dangerous Goods drivers licence, Forklift Licence and MC experience would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Safely operate a Hammar Sideloader heavy vehicle.
n
- Comply with all load restraint guidelines to secure freight.
n
- Experience handling OOG freight.
n




- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle.
n
- Deliver and pick-up freight as per schedule, maintaining high levels of punctuality and efficiency.
n
- Comply with all company policies, as well as local and national transport laws and regulations.
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Valid Victorian Heavy Combination Truck driver's licence.
n
- Valid MSIC with port access to VICT, DPW, AAT and Patricks.
n
- Minimum of 12 months experience with a Sideloader (Hammer preferable).
n
- Proven experience with OOG, Multi-load, Skel, Tautliner and Flatbed loads.
n
- Comprehensive understanding and adherence to Mass Management TMA and Load Restraint requirements.
n
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
n
- Dangerous Goods drivers licence, Forklift high risk work licence, MC licence advantageous.
n

Eligibility:
n Candidates must meet our pre-employment criteria which includes a medical, drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work and provide an Australian Drivers Licence 5year History and Demerit Point report.
