Midland Industries is seeking a Fit Out Team Member to join our assembly and process work team in Kyneton, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our trailer manufacturing operations.

As a Fit Out Team Member, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and finishing trailer components with precision and attention to detail. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of our products and the efficiency of our production line, making this a key position within our manufacturing facility.

About the role

As a Fit Out Team Member, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and finishing trailer components with precision and attention to detail. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of our products and the efficiency of our production line, making this a key position within our manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

n

- Assemble trailer components and systems according to technical drawings and work instructions, including air, electrical and hydraulic systems
n
- Install fixtures, fittings and other components in accordance with manufacturing specifications
n
- Complete final fit out and finishing work to ensure trailers meet quality standards and are ready for dispatch
n
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently as part of the fit out process
n
- Install and connect air,



electrical, hydraulic and associated trailer systems
n
- Inspect completed work to identify and report any defects or inconsistencies
n
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to health and safety protocols
n
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and timelines
n
- Follow quality control procedures and documentation requirements
n
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and production processes
n

What we're looking for

n

- Proven experience in assembly, fit out or process work within a manufacturing environment
n
- Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions
n
- Proficiency with hand tools and familiarity with light machinery used in assembly work
n
- Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of air, electrical and hydraulic systems
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
n
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure and meet production deadlines
n
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team environment
n
- A genuine commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace
n




- Physical capability to perform tasks involving standing, bending and handling components for extended periods
n
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
n
- Preferred: Experience in trailer manufacturing, automotive, heavy vehicle, industrial equipment or mechanical assembly
