The ideal candidate will be skilled in interpreting technical drawings, assembling metal components, and performing high-quality welds in a workshop or site environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures and components
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials to required dimensions
- Ensure weld quality meets Australian standards and project requirements




- Operate fabrication machinery (grinders, drills, cutting tools, etc.)
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Follow workplace health & safety (WHS) regulations at all times
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and structural integrity

Requirements & Skills

- Proven experience as a MIG Welder in fabrication (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials
- Experience with structural steel or sheet metal fabrication
- Good attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to safety standards

Qualifications

- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade)
- Welding certifications
