Job Description

Our client, a highly regarded Australian university, is seeking an experienced Learning Designer to join their digital education team on an initial 6 to 8 week temporary contract, starting as soon as possible.

This is a full-time engagement at 35 hours per week, offered on a hybrid working arrangement. The role can be based from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

About the role

n

You will work closely with academic and professional staff to design, develop and deliver engaging, student-centred digital learning content, applying sound pedagogical principles within established templates and publishing timelines. This role suits a learning designer who is comfortable working at pace within a structured, quality-driven environment.

Skills and experience

n

n
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer or similar, ideally within a higher education or comparable education setting
n
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing online learning content within a learning management system such as Canvas, Moodle or Blackboard
n
- Sound understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply these within a digital setting
n




- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with academic staff
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects at pace while maintaining a consistent standard of design and quality
n

Multimedia capability (preferred)

n

Basic multimedia capability is preferred for this role. This may include:

n

- Graphic design
n
- Voiceover or narration
n
- Animation
n

n

Experience with one or more of the following tools would be highly regarded: Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia or H5P.
